Boat donation charity a good thing to consider

Upon hearing a boat donation charity, I actually thought about such a thing as donate my boat as you see, fishing is actually our family business and we have one or 2 boats that are already quite old but still in working condition but my family does not like to repair it as the cost will be high and it is not worth as they say to do such. Hearing all about those mercy ships, I thought of actually converting it to one but since I did not have the means, I thought this charity could do better if I just donate it to them, hence this donate a boat program really appealed to me as a viable way to make use of this boats instead of it gathering rust and dust in the dock. I hope this ship can still be helpful especially for those who need it out there.
